Key Responsibilities
- Independently circulate across a high-volume OR environment averaging 80–120 cases per day across 33 operating suites
- Support a full range of surgical service lines including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Bariatrics, and Surgical Oncology
- Participate in 24/7 Level I Trauma Center poly-trauma response as required
- Take scheduled standby call, with a requirement of approximately 20–30 hours of standby call per 4-week period and a 30-minute call response time
- Work a combination of weekday and weekend shifts, including 12-hour weekend blocks
- Float between two OR areas based on experience and unit need
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Ability to circulate independently in the OR
- Willingness and availability to take call as scheduled, including weeknights and weekends
- Proficiency or ability to quickly learn EPIC OP-Time EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ambulatory or outpatient surgical cases
- Familiarity with Xi Robotic-assisted surgical procedures (Surgical Oncology, Urology, or GYN)
- Experience with advanced OR equipment including Bovie machines, Neptune suction, drill consoles, Ligasure, and Argon Beam
