    Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) Circulator

    Location

    Las Cruces, New Mexico

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | Monday, Tuesday, Friday | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | On-call required | Holidays required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as the circulating nurse throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring patient safety, sterile field integrity, and regulatory compliance
    • Perform patient assessments, advocate for patient needs, and coordinate care across a diverse caseload including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry
    • Manage surgical case preparation including equipment setup, supply management, specimen handling, and medication administration
    • Maintain accurate and thorough perioperative documentation using facility EMR systems
    • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, first assistants, and ancillary staff to facilitate efficient and safe surgical workflow
    • Participate in on-call rotation shared among OR nursing staff, providing unit coverage 24/7; weekday call begins at 3:00 PM, weekend call consists of 12-hour shifts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience
    • Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Must be able to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements (submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
    • Familiarity with Medhost and/or PICIS EMR systems
    • Experience in a Level III Trauma facility
