Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a high-volume OR environment consisting of 17 suites with approximately 35 cases per weekday and 10 cases per weekend day
- Support a variety of surgical specialties including Orthopedic, Neurological, and General surgery cases
- Apply trauma nursing competencies to manage complex and emergent surgical cases
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care coordination
- Participate in weekend shift scheduling (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday through Sunday) and work holidays that fall on a scheduled weekend day
- Maintain readiness for on-call response within 30 minutes when applicable
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Trauma experience in an OR setting is required
- Must be available and present in-state for the full week of unit-based orientation
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume, multi-specialty operating room environment
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
- Experience across Orthopedic, Neurological, and General surgery service lines
