Contract | Travel | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment across multiple surgical specialties including GYN, General Robotics, Trauma, Urology, Colorectal, Neuro, and Bariatrics
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout all phases of the operative experience
- Participate in on-call coverage as required — typically end of shift until 22:00 or 22:00 to 6:00 on weekdays; weekends consist of 12-hour call shifts
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the facility's electronic medical records system (Cerner)
- Maintain compliance with all facility policies, safety standards, and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license valid in the state of Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required — must be submitted with application or candidate will not be considered
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple OR specialties such as Robotics, Neuro, Bariatrics, or Trauma
- Prior travel nursing experience in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Familiarity with on-call expectations in an acute care OR environment
