Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-volume OR serving all patient age groups across a broad range of surgical specialties including Ortho, Gyn, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, and Podiatry
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 22-bed OR department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and patient management
- Participate in on-call requirements, expected one to two times per week in 8-hour call increments
- Adapt to varied shift times including 9–5, 11–7, 1–9, 3–11, and weekend daylight shifts, with weekend hours every other weekend or as needed
- Float to other areas as needed and maintain compliance with all Pennsylvania state clearance requirements prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure valid in the state of Pennsylvania
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- CPI/HWC certification required
- Minimum 3 years of OR/Surgical Services nursing experience
- EPIC electronic health records experience
- Robotics experience required
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience in a surgical or perioperative setting
- Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
