Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Start Time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; call coverage required including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for patient care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other personnel to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
• Ensure availability of appropriate supplies and maintain timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patients' families and update physician preference cards as needed
• Assist physicians during surgical cases, including scrubbing when required, and supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining regulatory and departmental standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Kentucky or a compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN Circulator experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must not be a local candidate — travelers only are eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with AORN standards and surgical regulatory requirements
• Experience working in a high-volume or fast-paced surgical environment
• Ability to scrub and assist physicians across a variety of surgical specialties
