Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | 40 hours per week — flexible scheduling options available: five 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or a combination of two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts per week. No weekends or on-call required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Assist surgical teams by scrubbing and/or circulating during a variety of operative procedures
- Monitor patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout all phases of surgical care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure efficient and safe surgical workflows
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut or compact license eligibility
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Demonstrated experience in an Operating Room or perioperative nursing setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience scrubbing and/or circulating across multiple surgical specialties
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and OR protocols
- CNOR certification or pursuit of certification is a plus
