    Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Neuro)

    Contract | Shift coverage includes weekday and weekend call shifts; holiday call required (1 major, 1 minor per contract cycle)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide perioperative nursing care within a high-volume OR environment handling 75–90 cases per day across 28 operating rooms
    • Support the neuro/craniotomy call team, including response to multiple trauma events requiring neuro team assistance
    • Perform weekday call shifts (2 x 8-hour shifts per schedule, 2330–0700) and weekend call shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts per schedule, 0700–1930 or 1900–0730) with a 45-minute response time
    • Scrub and circulate on complex neuro and orthopedic spine cases including craniotomies, spinal fusions, deformity corrections, and tumor resections
    • Float to other service lines within the Tower OR as needed
    • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma OR setting
    • Strong neuro and orthopedic spine experience, including craniotomies and complex spinal procedures
    • Ability to meet a 45-minute on-call response time requirement
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • RN scrubbing skills and experience in the OR
    • Experience with complex cases such as multi-level spinal deformity corrections, spine tumors, neurovascular procedures, and neuro trauma
    • Familiarity with Epic EMR
