Key Responsibilities
Perform circulating duties in the Operating Room, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other surgical team members in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and applicable regulatory standards
Ensure availability and readiness of surgical supplies and maintain timeliness of cases
Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards as needed
Participate in on-call rotation as required by department scheduling
Float to an additional surgical location as operationally required
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required
Proficiency in circulating duties within a surgical environment
Ability to fulfill call rotation requirements
Willingness and ability to float to an additional surgical site as needed
Availability to work holidays as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Cerner and/or Surginet EMR systems
Familiarity with endoscopy procedures in addition to standard OR cases
CNOR certification or equivalent OR specialty credential
