Contract | Travel | 8-Week Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (end times may vary based on case volume)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 2-room OR suite with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Function in circulator and/or scrub roles with assistant support available
- Perform and assist with a full range of orthopedic procedures including total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), arthroscopic sports procedures, spine (ACDF, lumbar laminectomy), podiatry, and hand surgeries
- Complete documentation using a paper charting system
- May be required to float to other centers within the division or area as needed
- Maintain compliance with all unit-specific guidelines and patient experience standards
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
- Minimum 1–2 years of general Operating Room experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of Orthopedic/Spine OR experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced experience with orthopedic total joints and sports procedures (arthroscopy)
- Experience with spine procedures including ACDF and lumbar laminectomy
- Familiarity with podiatry and hand surgical procedures
- Comfort working in an ambulatory surgery center environment
