Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room in Dixon, IL

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including General, Orthopedic, OB/GYN, Urology, Podiatry, and Dental cases
• Support an active OR environment averaging 6–7 cases per day across 5 operating suites and a cystoscopy room
• Collaborate with OR technicians, charge nurses, and administrative supervisors to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Participate in weeknight call coverage one night per week and weekend call coverage one weekend per month, with a 20-minute call response time requirement
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in a structured orientation program with a preceptor and department educator

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to comply with a drug-free workplace policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels
• Ability to participate in weeknight and weekend call rotations with a 20-minute response time
• Proficiency or ability to learn Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, OB/GYN, and urological procedures
• Ability to float to PACU or GI as needed
