Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Rotating Shifts (two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts per week) | On-Site | Travel
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a busy OR environment serving patients of all ages
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical procedures
- Participate in call rotations, primarily involving weekends, with the possibility of occasional overnight call during the week
- Float within scope of practice to other areas as needed
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
- Maintain all required certifications (ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH) throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia
- ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications required prior to start
- Minimum 1–2 years of OR nursing experience
- Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to start
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Orthopedic surgical experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech EHR
- 2+ years of OR experience
- Motivated, proactive, and professional demeanor with a willingness to seek additional assignments
