Key Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate ambulatory and one-day surgery procedures across a 6-suite operating room environment averaging 22 cases per day
Perform ophthalmology procedures independently, including cataracts and corneal transplants
Assist with a variety of case types including scleral buckle, vitrectomy, minor general surgery, minor spine stabilization, spinal cord stimulators, ENT, and dental procedures
Fulfill required call shifts including a minimum of one weekday call shift per week, up to every other weekend of call, and rotating holiday call, with a 30-minute response time
Float to other surgical departments as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Tech or RN in the OR setting
Demonstrated ability to independently perform cataract and corneal procedures
Ability to both scrub and circulate ambulatory surgery procedures
Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with a broad range of ophthalmology procedures beyond cataracts and corneal transplants
Familiarity with ENT, spine, and minor general surgery cases
Experience in a high-volume, multi-suite surgical environment
