Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care across a 6-suite operating room environment averaging 22 cases per day
Support a variety of surgical cases including ophthalmology (scleral buckle, vitrectomy, corneal transplants, cataracts), minor general surgery, minor spine stabilization, spinal cord stimulators, ENT, and dental procedures
Participate in required weekday call shifts (minimum 1 per week) with a 30-minute response time
Participate in weekend call rotation (up to every other weekend) and holiday call rotation, both with a 30-minute response time
Float to other surgical departments as needed
Complete hospital orientation followed by unit-specific orientation with department staff
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Technician or RN in a surgical setting
Demonstrated experience in ophthalmology surgical procedures
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to comply with a 30-minute on-call response requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience across multiple surgical specialties including spine, ENT, and general surgery
Familiarity with high-volume operating room environments
