Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | On-Call Required | Weekends & Holidays as Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Operating Room setting across assigned shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Maintain on-call availability with a 30-minute response time requirement
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- May provide care for COVID-positive patients
- Adhere to facility policies including a strict tobacco-free and fragrance-free environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — no license encumbrances accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
- EPIC experience required
- Must be available to work at least 1–2 major holidays per contract period (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong proficiency with EPIC charting is heavily preferred
- Experience working in high-acuity or fast-paced surgical environments
- Flexibility and adaptability to variable scheduling demands including call, weekends, and holidays
