Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Operating Room
LocationCarbondale, IL | Acute Care
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Three 12-hour shifts per week; on-call required as needed. No block scheduling available.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties.
- Apply nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records in accordance with facility standards.
- Contribute to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication and conflict management.
Required Qualifications- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Participation in continuing education as required.
- Ability to meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an Operating Room or perioperative setting.
- Familiarity with surgical workflows and sterile field protocols.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary care teams in an acute care environment.
