Registered Nurse – Operating Room / Surgery

Contract | Days | Schedule varies, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | On-call requirements apply
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room setting
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as assigned throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and adherence to sterile technique
- Fulfill on-call obligations as required by the department
- Meet holiday coverage expectations, including 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Operating Room / Surgical nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume surgical environment
- Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
- Strong ability to adapt to varying schedules and on-call demands
