Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room in Boston, MA

Key Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment supporting a broad range of surgical specialties including Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic, and Interventional Pulmonology. Participate in on-call coverage, including up to 4 call shifts per month with weekend and holiday rotation; short call (2 hours post-shift) once per week; overnight weeknight call (7p–7a).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment supporting a broad range of surgical specialties including Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic, and Interventional Pulmonology
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties throughout surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage, including up to 4 call shifts per month with weekend and holiday rotation; short call (2 hours post-shift) once per week; overnight weeknight call (7p–7a)
• Complete orientation during the first week on a day shift schedule (7a–3:30p, 5 days)
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes across all phases of the perioperative experience

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Scrub experience required
• Strong Orthopedic OR experience required, including Total Joints
• Minimum 1–3 years of related OR nursing experience
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility — local travelers will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital setting
• Specialty area expertise within the operating room
