Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care across a 6-suite OR and 2-suite GI environment, supporting approximately 12 cases per day
Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including total joints, ORIFs, tendon repairs, hernia, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, robotic bowel resection, endoscopic sinus surgery, and pediatric tonsil and adenoid cases
Fulfill weeknight call requirements one night per week (from case end until 6:30 AM the following morning) and rotating weekend call every 3rd to 4th weekend
Work the majority of holidays during the winter season as expected of travel clinicians
Respond to call within 30 minutes when required
Occasionally float to other departments (ED, Med-Surg, or LTC) as needed and based on comfort level
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum 3 years of OR experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible as a non-local candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in general surgery, orthopedic (total joints), and robotics
GI procedure experience preferred
Scrubbing experience preferred, though not required
Ophthalmology/cataract experience a plus (facility is willing to train)
