Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00–17:00 | No scheduled weekends | Weekend call required (currently 1 in 4) | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care within the Operating Room setting across a range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotic procedures, Orthopedics, and GYN
- Float to other units or areas as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient and family-centered care throughout the surgical experience
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- ACLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required, within the last 3 years
- Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; up to three attempts permitted under specified conditions)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple OR specialties including robotic-assisted surgery
- Familiarity with perioperative workflows in an outpatient or clinic-based surgical environment
- Strong adaptability and willingness to float as needed
