Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8-Hour Shifts | On-Call required for nights and weekends | 12-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning of patient care within the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other surgical team members to deliver safe and effective patient care
• Ensure proper supplies are available and maintain timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patients' families and update physician preference cards as needed
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; local candidates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with AORN standards and regulatory requirements in a surgical setting
• Experience scrubbing and circulating across a variety of surgical specialties
