Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Shock Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Rotating 2x8 & 2x12 Shifts (07:00–15:30 / 07:00–19:30) | Expected 40 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a high-acuity Shock Trauma Operating Room environment across up to 9 OR suites
• Perform both circulating and scrub roles — proficiency in both is required for this position
• Float within the specialty and peri-operatively, including pre-op and PACU coverage as needed
• Fulfill one weekend shift per month at minimum, as well as holidays as scheduled
• Participate in pre-scheduled on-call coverage (expected 36 hours per 6-week schedule cycle)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience; strong first-time travelers will be considered
• Circulating AND scrub experience are both required — no exceptions
• Must maintain permanent address 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience in a trauma or high-acuity surgical environment
• Comfort floating within perioperative scope, including pre-op and PACU settings
