Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts (combination of 8s and 10s may be available; no 12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care within a hospital-based operating room environment
- Support surgical procedures across multiple service lines including Neuro, Ortho, ENT, General, and Eyes
- Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities as needed within the OR setting
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience (office surgery experience not applicable)
- Charge nurse experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Flu vaccination required – no declinations accepted
- Must be able to pass a nicotine-free screening in addition to standard drug screen
- Completed skills checklist matching OR specialty required at time of submission
- Experience in Neuro, Ortho, ENT, General, and Eyes service lines required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric OR experience preferred
- Ability to scrub preferred, though not required
- Prior travel nursing experience
