Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Assist surgical team members in the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
- Perform patient assessments, document care accurately, and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
- Respond to on-call duties as required per department scheduling needs
- Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and surgical safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Louisiana or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical setting
- Familiarity with scrub and circulator roles within the OR
- Strong ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced travel assignment environment
