Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room during night shift hours
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a variety of surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
- Adhere to sterile technique and infection control protocols throughout all surgical cases
- Fulfill on-call requirements as needed per unit policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New York
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
- Strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical specialties
- Ability to meet travel contract requirements including working night shift hours
- This position is open to travel candidates only; local candidates from ineligible counties will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a large academic or high-acuity medical center environment
- Comfort and flexibility with on-call scheduling requirements
- Familiarity with a variety of electronic medical record (EMR) systems
