Key Responsibilities
Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
Support and assist with a broad range of surgical procedures including cardiac, neurological, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Fulfill on-call requirements as needed per facility policy
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York or compact eligibility
Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
Strong hands-on experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical specialties
Must meet travel candidate eligibility requirements — local candidates from ineligible counties are not accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a large academic or high-acuity medical center environment
Familiarity with scrub and circulating roles across multiple surgical specialties
Ability to adapt quickly to new electronic medical record (EMR) systems
