    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 4 Days x 10 Hours (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct and safe patient care in the operating room across a range of surgical specialties including Orthopedic, General, Podiatry, GYN/OB (including C-Sections), Pain Management, Urology, and Endoscopy.
    • Apply and document the full nursing process — assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation — for surgical patients and their families.
    • Consult with physicians and clinical staff on nursing problems and interpretation of policies to ensure patient needs are met.
    • Practice the five rights of medication administration and demonstrate efficient time management to maximize patient care productivity.
    • Act as a patient advocate, respecting confidentiality and honoring patients' cultural and religious beliefs throughout the perioperative experience.
    • Participate in hospital and departmental quality improvement activities and maintain compliance with legal and organizational standards.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico required.
    • BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
    • ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
    • PALS certification required (American Heart Association only).
    • CPI certification required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing specialty.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Ability to speak additional languages is a plus.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and families of varying ages and cultural backgrounds.
