Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | Weekend-focused schedule; expected 36 or 40 hours/week. If 40 hours: Friday 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday 7:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Alternative option: 3x12 weekend PM shifts with an additional Monday 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM shift. No call required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity Operating Room environment across service lines including Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, and General/Robotics/Trauma
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties for craniotomy and burr hole procedures — experience in these cases is required
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative process
- Complete required onboarding modules during orientation (approximately 6–8 hours, non-billable)
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation; Altera charting system experience is a plus
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license — license in hand required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Operating Room nursing
- Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
- Current certifications must be verifiable
- Must be available to complete required lab/health items within 72 hours of accepting an offer, or have a documented plan in place
- Must live more than 150 miles from the facility to be eligible (local candidates are not accepted)
- Previous permanent staff at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with Altera charting system preferred
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
