Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Perioperative Charge Nurse (RN) in Chico, California. This role involves overseeing the daily operations and patient care within the Operating Room, primarily focusing on weekend coverage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgical patient flow, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care in a dynamic surgical environment for our patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate patient care activities within the Operating Room.
- Manage patient flow and assign nursing staff to ensure optimal unit efficiency and patient safety.
- Provide leadership and support to the perioperative nursing team during assigned shifts.
- Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate effective communication among surgical teams, physicians, and other departments.
- Address and resolve operational issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of current experience as a Perioperative Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Two (2) or more years of Critical Care experience.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
