Job Summary
Join a dedicated cardiovascular surgical team as a CVOR Registered Nurse in a unique Hybrid Cath Lab setting located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to work in a smaller hospital environment nestled in the scenic Colorado Rockies, while contributing to an established and rapidly growing program that utilizes advanced technologies comparable to university-level facilities.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for cardiovascular patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of surgical procedures. This position is specifically within the Hybrid Cath Lab, focusing on specialized cardiovascular interventions rather than general operating room cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to cardiovascular patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Perform both scrub and circulating duties efficiently and effectively within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and Hybrid Cath Lab.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety throughout all surgical interventions.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Operate and monitor advanced surgical equipment specific to cardiovascular procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, high-volume intraoperative Registered Nurse experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both surgical scrubbing and circulating roles for cardiovascular procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity Hybrid Cath Lab environment.
