Description

Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 5x8 day shifts with on-call and weekend on-call requirements; 72 guaranteed hours per two-week period (may be called off for one 8-hour shift per two weeks); block scheduling available upon request

  • Experience working with cell saver, laser safety, and trauma protocols in a critical access setting

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Required surgical skills and competencies include general OR procedures, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, laparoscopic cases, cystoscopy, trauma protocols, specimen handling, and wound management
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Epic or similar charting system experience required
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
