Description:
An Operating Room Registered Nurse is needed.
The nurse will plan, manage, and coordinate professional nursing care for surgical patients.
Specialized care and treatment will be provided to patients.
The nurse will direct and supervise ancillary nursing personnel.
Collaboration with all members of the health care team is essential.
Responsibilities include scrubbing or circulating surgical cases.
AORN standards of professional nursing practice will be maintained.
The role involves handling bodily fluids and substances.
The nurse must be able to work under varying and unpredictable situations.
Contact with patients will occur under a wide variety of circumstances.
Emergency or crisis situations may arise.
The position is subject to OSHA Risk Category I (High Risk).
