**Job Description:**

- We are seeking a Circulating and Scrub RN who thrives on providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment!
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver safe, evidence-based care to surgical patients throughout all phases:
- Preoperative
- Intraoperative
- Immediate postoperative
- Function as the:
- Circulating Nurse:
- Coordinate patient care
- Maintain the sterile environment
- Document surgical procedures
- Advocate for patient safety
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Scrub Nurse:
- Establish and maintain the sterile field
- Prepare instruments and supplies
- Anticipate surgeon's needs
- Pass instruments and medications
- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments
- Collaborate effectively with:
- Surgeons
- Anesthesia providers
- Surgical technologists
- Other perioperative team members
- Demonstrate proficiency in multiple surgical specialties, which may include:
- General surgery
- Hand surgery
- Gynecology
- Obstetrics
- Ophthalmology
- Podiatry
- ENT
- Endoscopy
- Additional specialty procedures
- Participate in emergency and trauma procedures as required and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Assist with:
- Inventory management
- Equipment troubleshooting
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Regulatory compliance
- Orientation of new staff
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to fluctuating surgical volumes and expanded responsibilities common in rural healthcare environments.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and standards.
**Qualifications:**
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS as required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Demonstrated competency in both circulating and scrub roles
