Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Registered Nurse in Juneau, Alaska. This role is integral to providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced ambulatory setting, specifically within the Urgent Care Department. The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with providers and clinic staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical services, ensuring excellent quality of care, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with established standards.
  • Offer leadership and direction to clinic staff, promoting efficient operation across all aspects of patient care and front desk functions.
  • Manage medication inventory and other essential supplies.
  • Perform necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
  • Accurately and timely document all provided care and services.
  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures for provider clinics.
  • Anticipate and assist providers and other staff to ensure efficient and quality patient care delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as a valuable resource for patients, providers, and colleagues.
  • Maintain current skill sets, annual competencies, and certifications; participate in mandatory training and staff meetings.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including proper upkeep of unit and equipment.
  • Promptly report any defective equipment or safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Urgent Care experience, within the last two years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proof of current Flu vaccine.
