Registered Nurse - Urgent Care
Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Registered Nurse in Juneau, Alaska. This role is integral to providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced ambulatory setting, specifically within the Urgent Care Department. The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with providers and clinic staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include direct patient care, comprehensive documentation, maintaining clinical standards, and contributing to a safe and effective care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to patient-centered service, supporting the overall operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical services, ensuring excellent quality of care, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with established standards.
- Offer leadership and direction to clinic staff, promoting efficient operation across all aspects of patient care and front desk functions.
- Manage medication inventory and other essential supplies.
- Perform necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
- Accurately and timely document all provided care and services.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures for provider clinics.
- Anticipate and assist providers and other staff to ensure efficient and quality patient care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as a valuable resource for patients, providers, and colleagues.
- Maintain current skill sets, annual competencies, and certifications; participate in mandatory training and staff meetings.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including proper upkeep of unit and equipment.
- Promptly report any defective equipment or safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Urgent Care experience, within the last two years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proof of current Flu vaccine.
