License: Valid California License required at the time of submission.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required.
Must-Have:
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including but not limited to abdominal surgeries, orthopedic procedures, and gynecological surgeries.
- Familiarity with HANA table equipment.
- Ability to work with various patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Description:
This position requires an experienced registered nurse in the operating room setting.
The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care during surgical procedures.
Experience in a range of surgical specialties such as orthopedic, general, gynecologic, and neurosurgery is essential.
The nurse will help manage patient care, assist in surgeries, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
The patient population includes a daily census of 10-15 patients with a focus on common procedures.
The unit has three operating rooms with an interdisciplinary support team.
A call requirement may be necessary but is not likely to be frequent.
The resource will participate in on-call shifts and occasional weekend coverage.
Availability for two pre-approved time off requests is allowed.
The ideal candidate must have a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.
This position is not affiliated with a trauma center but may require handling trauma cases when they arise.
