Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year acute care experience with 6 months Pediatric Operating Room experience required. License: Active California RN License required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS. Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Experience with various surgical procedures in a pediatric setting required. Description: Pediatric Operating Room Nurse needed for Day shifts. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience and 6 months of experience in a Pediatric Operating Room. Candidates with either inpatient or ambulatory experience will be considered. Travelers must be aware of and agreeable to the on-call requirements. The position involves a minimum of 3 weekday nights and 2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Average daily census is approximately 25 cases. Charting system used is Surginet. Patient population includes ENT, Urology, Neuro, General, Orthopedics, and Trauma for both inpatient and outpatient cases. The role includes functioning as a break nurse approximately 20% of the time. Clinical responsibilities will cover a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to appendectomies, arthroscopies, cholecystectomies, craniofacial surgeries, and spinal fusions. Weekend shifts will be required. Travelers must float as needed based on unit requirements. Compliance with all safety protocols and universal standards is essential. Travel experience is required for this position.
