Job Summary

Join our dedicated perioperative team as a Registered Nurse in Hermiston, Oregon. This role focuses on providing comprehensive, patient-family centered care within the operating room and other perioperative service areas for diverse patient populations. The Perioperative RN is a vital member of the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the intraoperative experience.

You will serve as a patient advocate, directing and supervising assigned personnel to deliver high-quality care. This position requires a commitment to excellence and collaboration within a dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care during intraoperative surgical experiences.
  • Act as a patient advocate, upholding patient rights, dignity, and privacy.
  • Direct and supervise assigned personnel within the perioperative setting.
  • Implement individualized plans of care, ensuring patient safety from environmental hazards (chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, thermal).
  • Perform accurate accounting procedures for sponges, sharps, and instruments to prevent unintended retained surgical items.
  • Verify correct patient, site, and and procedure through established protocols.
  • Manage patient specimens according to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately.
