Description

Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 0700-1730, Monday through Friday with on-call responsibilities. On-call includes one weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday), one weekend every 6-8 weeks, and holidays as operationally needed.

  • Epic charting system with 32 hours of orientation provided
  • Specialized pediatric population including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
  • Work alongside interdisciplinary support teams including Respiratory Services and Pharmacy
  • Two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment
Requirements:
  • Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care pediatric OR experience within the last 3 years
  • Kidney transplant experience required
  • Pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required
  • Level I and/or Level II Trauma experience required
  • BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
  • PALS certification preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with administration of blood and blood products
  • Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria (adult and pediatric rhythms)
  • Must reside 50+ miles from the facility
  • Willingness to float as operationally needed
