Description: Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse. Assignment length is 13 weeks. Shift options include 3x12 days or 4x10 days with varying start times. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the operating room. First-time travelers are not accepted. BLS is required; ACLS and CNOR certifications are preferred. Call is limited to coverage for call-offs only. Weekend shifts may be required. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. Travelers can be called off for one 12-hour shift every two weeks. Time off requests will be approved on an individual basis. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 40 patients. The operating room is equipped with advanced technology and supports a wide range of surgeries. Interdisciplinary teams provide comprehensive patient care. Patient diagnoses include trauma, cancer, orthopedic, urology, and other specialized procedures. Special equipment includes advanced surgical robots. Travelers should be prepared to work weekends and major holidays. References from previous employers are required. Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary. Candidates must adhere to facility policies and infection control protocols. Housing options in the area should be explored ahead of time, as they may be limited.
