Description

Job Title: OR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 4-10 hour shifts, variable days and start times Monday-Friday. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role. License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Circulator experience. Proficiency in GYN and experience with DaVinci Xi. Description: Clinical profile review will be conducted, and the manager will call for the interview. Travelers need to bring their own earphones for online training. Excessive absences of more than two occurrences in a 13-week contract may lead to early termination. Experience as a circulator is necessary, with a strong focus on GYN. Proficiency in epidurals is required. Facility is transitioning to an electronic health record system. The operating room consists of a stated number of surgical suites. An average of 50-65 cases is performed daily. Knowledge in multiple types of surgical cases is preferred. Experience with ENT procedures and DaVinci XI is mandatory, especially in GYN, URO, and General surgeries. Scrubbing duties will be required. Charge nurse responsibilities will include running the board and being a resource for staff. Weekday call will begin at the end of the shift and last until 7 AM the next morning, while weekend call is 24 hours and rotated among staff. Scheduled call response time is 30 minutes. Scrub colors will follow established standards. There may be additional orientation and training days based on previous experience. Physicians and teams are supportive and willing to teach. Travelers often choose to extend their assignments. Cancellation policy allows for a set number of shifts to be canceled by the hospital during the assignment.
