Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Must possess a current RN license and required certifications.
Ability to respond to call shifts based on unit needs, with 2-3 call shifts expected in a 6-week period.
Float to weekends may occur per unit needs.
The operating room is open 24/7, with several rooms active during day shifts and a dedicated trauma room overnight.
Contracted team members must be available for onboarding in the first week of the contract, which may not reflect the primary shift preference.
Staff may be expected to rotate between day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
Scheduling will be managed in advance to ensure orientation time on all shifts.
Accountability to policies, standard operating procedures, best practices, and code of conduct is expected.
The facility is a teaching environment, and quality preceptorship and learner evaluation are key responsibilities for all clinicians.
