- General OR and Trauma experience required
- Level I trauma experience required
- Required case experience includes, but is not limited to:
- Bariatric: Laparoscopic assisted cases
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair, Laparoscopic procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy, Whipple
- Client: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy, Lumbar fusion
- Orthopedic: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures
- Plastic Surgery: Free Flap - Microvascular
- Urology: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy
- Trauma: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries)
- Emergency management skills: Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia
Description:
The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
The shift is a 4x10 schedule, working from 13:00 to 22:00.
You will be working in a facility with 23 operating rooms.
All service lines except cardiovascular will be covered in this role.
Electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana tables are some of the required equipment.
Professional knowledge includes administration of blood products, infection control, radiation safety, and specimen handling.
Travelers may be required to float within their skill set.
There is a weekend requirement of one shift per month.
You will be required to be on-call once per week.
All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by management.
Completing all necessary documentation and compliance requirements is essential before starting the assignment.
Candidates must be prepared to be available for a virtual orientation process on the first day of the assignment.
The facility operates as a Level I trauma center and is recognized as a Magnet facility.
