Description: The position involves working in a general surgery setting. The operating room will handle an average of 20-40 cases per day. Common surgical cases include laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic colon surgery, laparoscopic appendectomy, cystoscopy, Da Vinci robotic surgeries, hysterectomies, vascular, ENT, and urology procedures. Scrubbing duties are required for this role. A charge nurse will be present to assist with cases. Collaboration with surgical technologists in the operating room is essential. Shifts will be scheduled based on departmental needs, with no self-scheduling available. There will be a requirement for on-call shifts and weekend availability. Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes. Floating to other surgical teams or sterilization processing may be necessary if qualified. Client-provided scrubs must be worn during shifts. Unit-specific orientation may last up to one week if needed.
