Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years of trauma experience required; 5 years preferred. License: CT license required prior to start. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Trauma experience is required for this position. Description: This position involves 5x8 hour days, primarily from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotation needed for breaks, weekends, and on-call duties. Call requirements will vary based on the schedule and staffing needs. Current expectations for a 6-week schedule include approximately 5-6 weekday trauma calls (8-hour shifts), 1-2 weekend trauma calls (12-hour shifts), and 1-2 weekend backup calls (10-hour shifts). Experience in trauma care is essential, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a Level II Trauma Center. Candidates must have experience in various trauma and surgical procedures, including but not limited to abdominal surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, and neurological surgeries. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, is a key component of this role. This position is situated in a short-term acute care hospital with a focus on comprehensive patient care. Candidates must be prepared to respond to various high-acuity patient situations, demonstrate strong clinical skills, and uphold standards of infection control and patient safety.
