Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Elmira, New York. This role is based within an acute care hospital setting, providing essential nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. This position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary surgical team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring proper equipment function.
- Monitor patient vital signs, physiological status, and response to anesthesia and surgical interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all care accurately and thoroughly.
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including infection control and patient identification.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to emergency situations with competence and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Recent experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.

Shift Details
- Shift Type: NOC (Overnight)
- Shift Duration: 8 hours per shift
- Days Per Week: 5 days per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Assignment Dates: September 20, 2026 – December 19, 2026
- Call Requirements: Weekday call requirement and rotating weekend call.
