Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
License: RN license required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (AHA only)
Must-Have:
- Experience in General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN procedures
- Charge experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Travel experience required
Description:
Days consist of 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:00.
No scheduled weekends.
Weekend call is required, currently 1 in 4.
Holidays may be assigned as needed.
Candidates must have 2 years or more of Operating Room experience.
Skills required include:
- Abdominal and Vaginal hysterectomy, endoscopic procedures, and Hernia repair
- Familiarity with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and various orthopedic surgeries
- Strong understanding of infection control and patient monitoring practices
All requirements are non-negotiable for passing criteria.
Pass/fail testing will be implemented with strict passing requirements.
Candidates must pass telemetry exams within two attempts.
The adult exam requires correct identification of lethal rhythms and no errors on third-degree heart block questions.
A passing score of 80% or higher is required for both adult and pediatric exams.
If the second attempt fails, a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation course is required before a third attempt.
Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
Travelers are required to float as needed.
Minimum experience must include two years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last three years.
