Skills required include a wide range of surgical and patient care competencies. Call requirements are limited to coverage for any call-offs only. Weekend work is required. Floating to like units may be necessary to meet facility needs. Block scheduling is not accommodated. Local candidates will not be accepted; applicants must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility. All requested time off must be included in the submission. Facility type is an acute hospital with a significant number of staffed beds. Scrub colors will be provided. Charting system utilized is Epic. Daily census is around 40 patients. Various types of surgeries performed in this unit include trauma, orthopedic, and general procedures. Candidates must possess a comprehensive skill set in various surgical techniques. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as necessary. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. References from previous experiences covering the past year are required. This position demands commitment to working during holidays. All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront as they may not be considered or granted post-offer.
