Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience in ambulatory OR preferred; First-timers accepted Description: Position / Specialty: Operating Room Registered Nurse. We are seeking an experienced OR RN. Ambulatory OR experience is preferred, but any OR setting is acceptable, including general, hybrid, and trauma. Shift is 5 days a week, 8 hours each day. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Certifications required include BLS and ACLS, along with an active state license. Clinicians may float in accordance with facility needs. Candidates should be open to accommodating block schedules. Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions. Ideally, request time off (RTO) should not exceed 5 days. This position will involve various orthopedic procedures including anterior and posterior fusions, cervical fusions, and more. Expected tasks include patient education, pain assessment and management, and medication reconciliation. The ideal candidate should be familiar with various surgical procedures and equipment, including arthroscopy and fluid evacuation systems. Experience in neuro/spine, ortho/total joints, and post-operative care is beneficial. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census and patient visits are expected to be approximately 25. Three operating rooms are available in the unit. Interdisciplinary support is provided, including interpretation services and radiology. Special equipment utilized includes specialized tables for surgeries. Compliance with protocol and procedures is essential for patient safety and optimal care.
