Key Responsibilities of the OR RN- Provide quality patient care and assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual
- Recognize safety issues and implement use of lifts for safe patient movement
- Function well under stress with strong problem-solving skills
- Utilize leadership skills to prioritize and delegate tasks
- Assume duties as a charge nurse when required
- Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and operate clinical equipment in an OR setting
- Participate in on-call duties with a 30-minute response time
Requirements of the OR RN- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current NYS RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience in preceptorship, charge, and leadership capacities preferred
- Proficient in nursing principles and OR/ASU clinical equipment
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
