Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 21:00 - 07:30 Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years preferred License: Current Nursing License required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: Experience in circulating cardiac and transplant cases Description: Must be willing to circulate all cases. This position requires an RN with strong neuro experience. The schedule is for nights, working four 10-hour shifts from 21:00 to 07:30 with no on-call duties. Candidates should have experience in various service lines, particularly cardiac and robotic surgery. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements will be determined. Charge duties may be required. Floating within the hospital is expected, but floating to sister hospitals is not allowed. This position does not accommodate block scheduling unless specified otherwise. Local candidates are welcome to apply. Pending licenses will not be accepted. There are restrictions on requested time off, limited to one week maximum. The average daily census is between 50-75 patients, with 28 operating rooms in the unit. The patient population is diverse, including orthopedic sports cases and minimally invasive procedures. High acuity experience in an academic environment is a plus. Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is desirable. Daily responsibilities include setting up operating rooms for the next day and possibly circulating multiple cardiac or transplant cases on nights. The environment is busy and requires adaptability to meet high acuity demands. Skills in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries are highly valued. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining infection control and adhering to safety protocols.
